I usually like news about new robots

This time? Not so much.

Military EATR: Contractor Working On Horrifying Corpse-Eating Robots

HOLY FUCK. WHAT THE HELL, PENTAGON.

This is disturbing on so many different levels I don't even know where to begin.

According to a few other sites this thing won't actually eat human corpses, but the possibility is there and that is freaky as hell. Any machine is capable of glitching and going against its programming. What's to say it wouldn't end up eating a live person?


All I know for sure is if I ever see one of these things I'm hauling ass the opposite direction. I want to work with robots, not be eaten by them.
